Don't be fooled by the obvious reprint format and typewriter font - this book, written in about 1903 by Robert Blatchford during his early 50's, is of the highest quality, and a more cool-headed accounting of the inconsistencies of the Christians' Bible than any other I have run across. (I'm sure I haven't found them all yet!) This is a book you could hand to a clergyman or a "true believer" of Christianity, without insulting their intelligence or alienating them (unless they INSIST upon being alienated; we have no control over that). His writing is measured and patient. He wishes to get across one idea at a time. And he does not seek to scorn these Christian people; he only seeks to gently persuade the believer to look at the biblical writings for what they are. I really like this book.Product details

truly great book
